Lilie Chouliaraki

Post-Humanitarianism. The contemporary politics of solidarity.

Friday 6th February at 2pm in Fulton Lecture Theatre A

Professor Lilie Chouliaraki, from the London School of Economics, will discuss the historical change in the communication of solidarity, within the fields of human rights and humanitarian communication.

 

Save the Children Fund Film (1969) Screening

Directed by Ken Loach

Sunday 8th February at 4.30pm in Fulton Lecture Theatre A
Introduced by Fernando Espada, Humanitarian Affairs Advisor at Save the Children

Commissioned by Save the Children, Ken Loach’s notorious documentary is an uncompromising investigation of the politics of poverty, class and charity. The film was banned for more than 40 years.
